If you are applying for Full Membership, please complete All Sections, except Section VI. To be eligible for full membership, you must be a citizen of the United States and/or the partner of a citizen of the United States.

If you are applying for Associate Membership (those who are not United States citizens or do not have a partner who is a US citizen), please complete All Sections. An Associate Member is defined as: (a) a woman fluent in English; (b) a woman who has had a recent tie with the American way of life; (c) a woman residing in the Netherlands; (d) a woman who does not meet the requirements of Full Membership. A recent tie to the US may include: having lived in the US, having relatives living in the US, self or spouse works for US company, or affiliation with another American Women's Club.

The AWCA also has a Mentor Program to help you get to know other members of the club as well as providing you with support as you adjust to life in Holland. The Mentor Chair will be contacting you via e-mail once your application has been processed to give you more information about this program.

As a volunteer organization, the American Women's Club of Amsterdam relies on the participation of its members to keep it vital and growing. When you feel settled in, we would love to have you on board, as part of our volunteer team! It is also a great way to get to know people and to enrich your experience in the Netherlands!

SECTION VI: PERSONAL INFORMATION, PART TWO (Required for Associate Membership Only)
 

Our Associate Members are a vital part of the AWCA and are most welcome!

  1. Membership requires Two Signatures of endorsement from two current AWCA Members with Full Membership privileges.
  2. You will need to print this form BEFORE you press the submit button.
  3. After printing, press the submit button.
  4. Return the printed form with signatures to the Membership Chairperson.
  5. The Executive Board makes final determinations on Associate Membership acceptance at its monthly board meetings. You shall be notified by the Membership Chair of the Board's application decision.
  6. You are welcome to attend AWCA functions while your application is being reviewed.

MEMBERSHIP DUES INFORMATION

Please note that the AWCA Club Year runs from September to June.

RENEWING MEMBERS

• Dues payable July 1: € 90 (€ 45 for women who have been members for 20+ years)

• Dues are the same for full and associate members.

• Renewing members whose dues are not received by September 30 may be dropped from the membership roll.

• Pro-rated membership dues are only available for new members.


NEW MEMBERS

• Dues for applications received before February 1: € 90

• Pro-rated dues for applications received after February 1: € 45

• Pro-rated membership dues are only available for new members.
